What's on your Kids Travel Wish List?
Traveling with your kids while they are toddlers, tweens, teens...or adults, is so beneficial for their growth. Travel expands our experiences...and for kids this can shape who they are and who they become. If you take them to experience new cultures and different destinations, they can grow up to be adults who are more accepting of others and want to make the world a better place. Wouldn't it be great to be a part of raising the next generation to be kind and accepting? Let's take your kids to the places THEY want to go to start their travel careers. These are the top 5 places that should be on your kids travel wish lists!
1. Walt Disney World
A trip to Walt Disney World has to be on the top 5 list for your kids wish list. This is a safe place for your kids to go to AND they will be really excited and interested in the trip, which gets them excited about travel! Seeing your little ones eye's light up seeing the magic of Disney is an unforgettable memory. Everything about Walt Disney World caters to making little ones dreams come true. Start here when you're ready to travel with little ones.
2. 4-Night Disney Cruise
Okay hear me out - a cruise may seem like it's a big step up from a land trip, but let me tell you - IT IS SO MUCH EASIER. Everything is walking distance from your stateroom AND you get to visit different destinations without unpacking more than once. If you prefer a different cruise line, that can be fine, however I want to mention the mental relief of knowing everything on a Disney Cruise is kid appropriate. The mental relief here is such a huge part of actually feeling like you're on a vacation. As a parent....this is huge.
3. Local National Park
If you're lucky enough to be within driving distance to a national park, take a road trip to it. National Parks offer a great opportunity to keep your family active, explore nature, and do some problem solving along the way. Get the kids involved in choosing which trails to hike, what animals you're looking for, and what you need in your park back packs if you're taking one. Even better, stop at the ranger station at the park and chat with them about the history of the area and best activities for kids to do!
4. International Disney Park
International travel with kids may seem daunting, so base it around visiting an international Disney park! Disneyland Paris is the easiest to get to from the U.S. and is a train ride from the city of Paris. You could visit Disneyland Paris for the day as part of your trip to France OR add on a few days at one of their resorts. The same can be done if you're feeling more adventurous and want to visit Asia - head over to Tokyo Disneyland or Shanghai Disney! International travel for kids is especially beneficial to open their eyes to what else is out there in the world!
